We often hear, "a picture is worth a thousand words." It's true - you can read all day about how bariatric surgery works, but nothing compares to seeing real people change themselves and their lifestyles for the best of their lives.
Sharing our personal stories is one of the things that can make us very uncomfortable. There are many things we could instead talk about than ourselves - it’s because it makes us vulnerable enough to tell our stories.
It requires enough mental and emotional energy to feel ready to share your story - you have probably thought before or still that you don’t have stories worth sharing. Sharing your story is a chance to connect with strangers going through similar challenges of the WLS journey.
Bnspired stories are inspiring and remind us how powerful sharing your story really is; it’s a beautiful thing to be a part of. Even if it's challenging or if we feel ashamed about something. By telling your story, you release yourself from those binds and give rise to an opportunity for connection.
Do you want to share your Weight Loss Surgery journey?
We would love to hear your story in our BNspired Story Program and the AWLS Podcast! You are welcome to share your story on either platform or both.
BNspired and the AWLS Podcast is created to inspire, educate and encourage you and others! We aim to continue opening up a broader conversation around the challenges and the wins around WLS.
So go on… Join us on the journey!
